Fewer leaks! I’m almost certain the problem here was a small fiber under the tacky tape or a bump while I was handling the oven lid. Seems fitting for the first infusion video to have the most common infusion problem! Other than that it all went fine.
The datasheet for the Soric suggested a 4oz per square foot resin uptake – and this panel came out at about exactly 2oz per square foot – assuming that the fiber was at a 40% resin content. On only one panel I wouldn’t make any sweeping generalizations – but Soric may suck up less resin than they say…
